Drawdown
Drawdown testing will provide the same reservoir data as the build-up test and is run by producing the well at a constant rate after an extended shut-in period.
An extended drawdown test can be used to identify reservoir boundaries and geometry. Extended drawdown tests allow a reservoir model to be created , tested, and modified until it matches the actual performance of the reservoir.
Drawdown tests require control and monitoring of flow rates. Continuous access to SPIDR memory during the test period and the economics of SPIDR use make it ideal for this application. The installation for drawdown testing is shown to the left.
