Michael Redman: DRC's Senior Engineer

Wed, 1 Aug 2007

Data Retrieval Corporationís Senior Engineer is Michael Redman. Mr. Redman has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston and has extensive experience in the areas of pressure-transient analysis, fluid mechanics and phase behavior. In his time at DRC, Michael has been involved with almost every aspect of the company, but Mr. Redman's primary focus at DRC is the conversion and analysis of the pressure data obtained from the SPIDR gauge. The wellhead pressure data acquired with the SPIDR must be translated to bottomhole conditions for it to be useful for pressure-transient analysis and other reservoir engineering applications. Since joining DRC in 1998, Michael has analyzed thousands of well tests for DRC's clients, and Mr. Redman's intimate knowledge of wellbore physics enables him to return results to DRC's customers with unmatched speed and accuracy. In addition to converting their data, Mr. Redman also assists DRC's customers by helping with the test design to meet their objectives and discussing the results and conclusions of the completed tests. Michael also continues to work on advancing DRC's BHP model to improve its accuracy and broaden the range of applicable wells.
