The deliverability test is commonly used by gas producers, gas purchasers, and regulatory agencies for estimating a well's sustainable production rate.

The test goes by many other names, including Multi-Point, Four Point, One Point, and Absolute Open-Flow Potential. The test is used to determine the flowing wellhead pressure as a function of flow rate. The deliverability test requires the measurement of wellhead pressures at a minimum of two stable flow rates and a stabilized shut-in wellhead pressure. The SPIDR and two external transducers are connected to the wellhead and meter run as shown on the left.
